We have an intentionally slow and regardful approach towards the on boarding process.

After an individual is invited into our teaching community, we first give them an overall philosophical understanding of the consciousness of children and where they come from through various training and a year-long mentorship. Our mentors work with teachers during the summer holidays and guide them in crafting their year plans, monthly plans, weekly plans, and daily plans for the class they have taken up for the year. All our teachers also participate in appropriate training happening in India throughout the year, giving them the opportunity to connect and learn together with teachers from other schools in India.
After the commitment to join our team as a teacher is made, the new teacher is invited to be part of our classes 3 months before they begin their work with children (usually in the next academic year). They spend their time observing classes, children, and their activities, and going through certain basic philosophical training. During this precious first phase, children begin to connect and bond with them. Then in April, there is a month-long training for teachers.
On boarding is hence an intensive process in terms of time, effort, and resources for both the new teacher and the school, giving the teacher enough time and space to integrate the educational philosophy of Lokhaa.

1. Kindergarten Teacher

Qualification: Any graduation degree/post graduation degree

Attributes: Love for children and passion to work with children. Someone who can sing and move with children and can work with their hands to create dolls and other beautiful objects. Someone who can be calm when amidst children and can observe them with an open heart to see the inner world of each child in their care.

2. Primary school Grade Teacher (Grade 1-5)

Qualification: Any graduation degree/post graduation degree

3. Middle school Grade Teacher (Grade 6 & 7 - Cambridge Curriculum)

Qualification: Graduation/post graduation along with specialization/specific courses in the subject

Skills: Experience in the subject applying for Subject matter expertise.

Selection Process

Kindly read about alternative education and Waldorf methodology and ask yourself if you would like to embark on this journey. If you have not encountered Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf yet, our website/social media pages, and our blog are good places to start.
Send your detailed resume, with the role you are applying to in the subject of the email, to the email id mentioned below
If found suitable for any open position, you will be called for a telephonic interview.
If you are selected for the next round, you will be emailed a form to fill in. Kindly fill it completely within 3 working days of receipt of the form and send it back to us.
Depending on the position and the grade you have applied to, you will have a set of steps which will lead you to the final round.
You will be intimated regarding the result via an email.
If you have been selected, you can complete the joining formalities as mentioned in the email.
